Last weekend my little brother went on his first date to the Homecoming dance. I'm not doing this post to embarrass him, but I just wanted to say that I can't believe that he is already 16 and starting to date and drive. Matthew has grown up so much in the past few years. It seems that everytime that I see him he is about a inch taller. He passed me up when he was like 12 or 13 years old. My family lives in Utah and I wish I could have been there for this event. He is such a good looking kid and so down to earth and I know that he is going to be such a gentleman to the girls that he dates. This is because growing up that is all we saw our dad be to our mom. My dad treats my mom like a princess and it definately rubbed off of Michael and I'm sure matthew. Growing up I wanted to marry someone that treats me as well as my dad treats my mom and I definately hit the jackpot with Ryan. Anyway, I just want to tell Matthew how proud of him I am and what a great kid he is. Here are a few pictures he send me from his date. I love you Matthew.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!!
Today is Ryan's birthday and I wanted to say how much I love him and am so grateful for him. He is such an amazing husband, father, brother, and son. Since the day that I met Ryan he has amazed me with his spirit and loving kindness. I am so lucky to be married to this man and could not have asked for a better father for our son.Ryan loves Blake so much and I love to just sit back and watch them play together. Ryan adores Blake and tells me every day how much he loves his and how grateful he is that he is our son.
Here are is a short glimpse and a tribute to Ryan of our life together. Hope you enjoy.

Football has started and Blake doesn't know who to vote for!!!
So Football season has started and we love it. There is only one problem. Blake has too many teams to choose from. My family is hard core BYU football fans. Ryan's family is hard core U of U fans. And Ryan and I have both gone to college at UNLV and they are actually winning this year so we are UNLV fans. This is some cause of major controversy at Thanksgiving times when U of U plays BYU. I don't know if I should honor my family or my husband. So here are some pictures of Blake sporting the teams. Leave a comment on what team he should root for this year.
U OF U BLAKE
This could cause some serious dilemma in our house. Let me know what you think. Blake is going to be one confused little football fan :)Posted by Heather West at 8:29 PM 4 comments

First Official Haircut!!
Tonight Ryan gave Blake his first official haircut. We have tried a few times in the past and have only gotten a few snips but we decided that it was about time for a real one. Blake's hair was out of control. Here are the before shots.
This is the video of the process. Blake did so well and sat so still. I had to put the camera down and stop taping though to help distract him.
And here are the after shots. He was so good and he looks so handsome. I am so glad that Ryan can cut his own hair as well as Blake's. It will definately save us some money. And thanks to Ryan's mom for cutting his hair his whole life so that Ryan would know how to cut his son's.
And last but not least, here he is eating pureed spagetti and meatballs. Yummy!!Thanks for reading. Sorry about all the pictures. They are just too cute to pass up.
