My little brother is all grown up!!!

Last weekend my little brother went on his first date to the Homecoming dance. I'm not doing this post to embarrass him, but I just wanted to say that I can't believe that he is already 16 and starting to date and drive. Matthew has grown up so much in the past few years. It seems that everytime that I see him he is about a inch taller. He passed me up when he was like 12 or 13 years old. My family lives in Utah and I wish I could have been there for this event. He is such a good looking kid and so down to earth and I know that he is going to be such a gentleman to the girls that he dates. This is because growing up that is all we saw our dad be to our mom. My dad treats my mom like a princess and it definately rubbed off of Michael and I'm sure matthew. Growing up I wanted to marry someone that treats me as well as my dad treats my mom and I definately hit the jackpot with Ryan. Anyway, I just want to tell Matthew how proud of him I am and what a great kid he is. Here are a few pictures he send me from his date. I love you Matthew.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!!

Today is Ryan's birthday and I wanted to say how much I love him and am so grateful for him. He is such an amazing husband, father, brother, and son. Since the day that I met Ryan he has amazed me with his spirit and loving kindness. I am so lucky to be married to this man and could not have asked for a better father for our son.Ryan loves Blake so much and I love to just sit back and watch them play together. Ryan adores Blake and tells me every day how much he loves his and how grateful he is that he is our son.

I also wanted to publicly tell him how proud of him I am. This summer Ryan has been studying really hard for his MCAT to get into med school. We have been waiting a month to get his scores to see if he could get in. Yesterday he received his scores and he got a 31 which is amazing. For those of you that don't know, to get into a good DO school you have to get a 24 on the test. To get into a really good MD or DO score you have to get around a 28. So when Ryan got a 31 we were so happy. Pretty much Ryan can get into a lot of schools which is amazing. He is so smart and I am so proud of him. He is my hero. I love him so much.
Here are is a short glimpse and a tribute to Ryan of our life together. Hope you enjoy.
Have a very happy birthday love.

Football has started and Blake doesn't know who to vote for!!!

So Football season has started and we love it. There is only one problem. Blake has too many teams to choose from. My family is hard core BYU football fans. Ryan's family is hard core U of U fans. And Ryan and I have both gone to college at UNLV and they are actually winning this year so we are UNLV fans. This is some cause of major controversy at Thanksgiving times when U of U plays BYU. I don't know if I should honor my family or my husband. So here are some pictures of Blake sporting the teams. Leave a comment on what team he should root for this year.

UNLV BLAKE
BYU BLAKE

U OF U BLAKE

This could cause some serious dilemma in our house. Let me know what you think. Blake is going to be one confused little football fan :)

First Official Haircut!!

Tonight Ryan gave Blake his first official haircut. We have tried a few times in the past and have only gotten a few snips but we decided that it was about time for a real one. Blake's hair was out of control. Here are the before shots.

This is the video of the process. Blake did so well and sat so still. I had to put the camera down and stop taping though to help distract him.

And here are the after shots. He was so good and he looks so handsome. I am so glad that Ryan can cut his own hair as well as Blake's. It will definately save us some money. And thanks to Ryan's mom for cutting his hair his whole life so that Ryan would know how to cut his son's.

And these are for your viewing pleasure. Last weekend we went to Jared and Lacey's house and we made some beanies. This is the first one that I made for Blake.
Here he is trying to crawl. He is so close and will have it down any day now. He can get up on hands and knees but doesn't have the coordination yet to actually go forward.
And last but not least, here he is eating pureed spagetti and meatballs. Yummy!!Thanks for reading. Sorry about all the pictures. They are just too cute to pass up.

My baby is 7 months old!!

I can't believe how time flies. My little Blakster is 7 months old today. He is growing up so fast

and I can't believe how much he amazes me every day. He learns so quickly and does something new every time I look at him. These past few weeks Blake has not been feeling well and has had a temperature and a cold. It is so sad to see him not feeling well. He is finally starting to get better and I caught a few pictures of him tonight while he was in a good mood.
In this past month Blake has
1. Gotten his first tooth on the bottom.
2. Started to try to crawl forward which only makes him scoot backwards ( he gets so frustrated when he moves away from something he is trying to get closer to.)
3. He has started to be able to sit up by himself for a few seconds before getting excited or seeing a toy and plunging for it resulting in him face diving onto the carpet.
4. Started eating big boy food. (if that's what you call puree'd fruits and veggies.)
5. Started spitting out big boy food when mom is not looking thinking it's funny.
6. Even though we know he doesn't know what he is saying he says DA, DA, DA, DA. We tell ourselves he is calling his dad.
7. Started drinking juice through a sippy cup which he loves doing.
8. He moved into his own room and is now giving me about 12 hours of sleep with only a 15 feeding in between.
9. He has continues to wrap his mom and dad around his little finger.
10. He continues to amaze us all the time.
Here are some pictures that I got tonight of our little boy being a boy. Hope you enjoy. There are a lot of pictures.
